Chapter 17

Ayesha walked in her room and sat on the bed while Rahiem was on the phone. From the sounds of it, he was on the phone with Ty. She heard him say that Ayesha had found her mom and she was willing to help find Milton. He also told him the other things that Phyllis talked about, dealing with her past. She also figured that Ty asked if they trusted her in their house because Rahiem said,

“Ayesha felt that she could trust her and was remorseful for all the things that happened in the past.” They talked about signing her up for a 30 day rehab program. After about 5 more minutes, Rahiem disconnected their call and turned to Ayesha.

“I love you so much, because you have such a big heart and I’m behind you 100%.” Rahiem said.

“Thank you. I don’t know where this road will take us, but I hope I can have a relationship with her.” Ayesha replied.

They knew they had to get up early to take care of Phyllis so they got undressed and snuggled under the covers. Eventually drifting off to sleep.

Meanwhile, Phyllis had just stepped out of the shower and she found some lotion in the bathroom and put lotion on her body. She put on the clothes that Ayesha had given her and laid on the bed in darkness thinking about her life. She wanted a hit so bad but knew she couldn’t get to anything. Then she remembered she had a few baggies in her skirt pocket. She went to the bathroom and got her skirt. She took the baggies out and went and sat on the bed. She got a little mirror out her purse and lined the drug up as she rolled up a dollar bill and sniffed the drug through her nose.

When she was finished, she put the evidence in her purse and wiped her nose. She lies back on the bed and let the drug take over. She was happy that Ayesha found her; she felt like it was fate that they found each other. It wasn’t a day that went by when she didn’t think of Ayesha or what she may have been doing with her life. After all, Ayesha was her only child. She hated herself for not getting away from Milton. At that point she decided that when they caught Milton, he would die by her hands.
